JULIE SORGE WAY

Hi, I’m Julie. I am a Ph.D. student in Literary and Cultural Studies and Technology and Media Studies at Old Dominion University, and a college instructor of literature and writing, teaching English and Intelligence Analysis at James Madison University.

My current research focuses on the role of women in 19th and early 20th-century Britain, especially as narrated in woman-to-woman periodicals and domestic advice literature of the time. I also study the digital humanities, especially feminist DH, building and designing interactive digital editions, and ways to improve the online reader experience across different kinds of devices. I’m always at home in archives, both dusty and digital.
